To advertise or not is the question.
Since I haven’t written a P&P variation in four years until recently (EBBD), I have been thinking more about advertising. That is something I really haven’t done a lot of in the past. In fact, it wasn’t really necessary because I did rather well just through a number of posts that made a large number of readers aware of any new books.
That doesn’t work as well as it used to because there are numerous P&P’s available now. Not long ago I went through a section of Amazon counting the number of variations that were available. I quit looking when I reached 400+, and, even though that was a big chunk, I don’t think it numbered even half the books that are available now. The P&P’s are very popular with readers and new authors.
Before I started writing variations of Jane Austen’s classic, I was writing for a publisher who wanted a Superfoods series. We did quite well considering the competition was not what is it today. I did fifteen of the superfoods books that sold very well in 2012 and beyond. A while back I decided to see how they were doing on Amazon and couldn’t even find them without looking specifically for their titles. There are millions of them available. Not really, but since I will be publishing them now, I will have to do advertising. They are written and published under my real name, Karen C Groves.

Although not a superfoods book, I have also published Stress Management Guide for the 21st Century and am updating it for a Second Edition that will be released before the end of the month.
All of my Collections are also marked down through the end of the month at $9.99 each. Darcy Chooses collection is already available at $9.99 through the end of the month as well. I will also have the current cover for the paperback.
One of the things I have always done with prices is take all the single prices of those that will be part of a collection and made the total the same total of the collection. This way if someone bought one of the singles but wanted all in the collection, they could buy the others and pay no more than the total price of the collection. I’ve never tried to fool a customer into paying more.
The sale price includes the Four Lords collection as well. The regular price of each of the collections is $12.99. Sale price will save buyers $3.00 on each collection.
We are also thinking of price increases in January. They will not be huge, but if you want any of my books, save money by buying before January 1st.
