Fresh, Festive Flourishes for the Holidays

Just as I have a soft spot for each one of my “book babies,” I must confess that some covers tug at my heartstrings more than others. They remind me of the moment a story came together or the feeling I had when I first saw the artwork that inspired a new ‘what-if’ story.

A great cover should stir emotion and curiosity, making readers eager to dive into the story within. However, unlike the stories themselves, some covers are not meant to last forever. Many covers evolve with time and taste.

Which brings me to my exciting news! I’m thrilled to share the new eBook covers for my standalone holiday backlist stories. The old designs have been given a much-needed makeover. At the same time, I remain attached to the traditional covers many readers know. Those classic designs will stay exactly as they are for print and audiobook editions. Because these new designs are so different from my brand, I’m calling them the Limited Edition 2025 Holiday Collection. They will be sold exclusively on Amazon and available in Kindle Unlimited.

Speaking of covers, I am so excited to share the cover for the upcoming Jane Austen 250th birthday anthology, To Mark the Occasion!

Reserve your copy here!

Ten Austenesque authors, including yours truly, wrote birthday tales for some of Jane Austen’s most memorable characters, along with a foreword written by Jane Austen’s niece, Caroline Jane Knight.

This project is more than just a tribute to the beloved author. It’s an opportunity to make a difference. All proceeds will benefit the Jane Austen Literacy Foundation. What a fitting way to honor Jane’s legacy while championing the written word.

So, fellow Austen lovers, I invite you to pre-order your copy today. Let’s celebrate Jane Austen’s incredible journey together and spread the joy of reading across the globe.

Happy reading, and may your holidays be filled with love and laughter!

Thanks so much for your kind words. The new covers made for a fun little project. I hope you’ll love reading “To Mark the Occasion” this month. My story features Charlotte Lucas.

I was saddened not to be a part of the Jane Austen birthday collection, and my Wentworth story was complete. However, as I working with several tight deadlines and new health screenings and the initial project’s organization was a bit troublesome [not organization by those who picked up the pieces after others dropped them], I moved on. I will include my Wentworth story in a collection of short pieces I have written to be published later in 2026.
