It is always a pleasure to talk about my YouTube channel, and today, I have an exciting milestone in sight. As of this moment, my channel has around 2,900 subscribers—which means the long-anticipated 3,000 mark is approaching! Will it take a week? A month? A year? However long it takes, I know one thing for certain: I cannot wait to celebrate. What that celebration will entail is still a mystery even to me, but I am open to suggestions in the comments!
Before anything else, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to all who have supported my journey as a YouTube content creator. Whether you discovered my channel recently or have been part of this adventure from the beginning, your encouragement, thoughtful comments, and willingness to share my videos have made all the difference. Your enthusiasm fuels my creativity, and I appreciate every like, watch, subscribe, and kind word.
Back in October 2024, when my channel reached 2,500 subscribers, here’s what I shared here at the time:
With ten full-length audiobooks and counting in 2024 alone, it’s been an exciting time, and seeing the channel grow with each release is truly rewarding. However, producing high-quality audiobooks comes at a considerable cost, and despite the channel’s growth, there’s no guarantee of recouping the expenses. With that reality in mind, I am actively exploring more affordable ways to continue delivering content to my lovely YouTube community without compromising on the quality you’ve come to expect.
Rest assured, I’m committed to bringing you engaging stories to my channel in ways that are sustainable for both my channel and my creative process. I will share more in the coming months.
The cost factor is especially true as the return on investment of audiobooks continues to decline.
One of the steps I have taken to grow my audience and continue providing fresh content is the inclusion of professional human voice replicas. I include a special icon in the corner of all my human voice replica videos, so listeners know what they’re getting—it’s not always easy to tell. Some in my community have made their stance on AI narrations clear, and I applaud their decision, especially as it does not take away from the growing segment of those who enjoy storytelling in all its forms. Many even appreciate my author-read stories, and I truly wish I could do more—but it is incredibly time-consuming. That said, I will continue striving to provide a healthy mix of professional human narrators and professional voice replicas, ensuring a broad selection of content for everyone.
